      Crich Brass are looking to recruit brass players of all ages and abilities. Whether you are an experienced brass player or simply have a desire to learn something new they provide a warm welcome and can even supply you with an instrument and tution Free of Charge!

      Crich Crafters Monthly Meetup

      We’re a friendly bunch who meet up the second Thursday of each month to chat and work on our projects - whatever your craft, whatever your level, bring your current project and join us - everyone welcome!

      We meet 6-8pm at the Glebe Centre, bring a drink and snack and enjoy an evening with us.

      The sessions are free of charge.

    • 1:00 PM Comrades Club 100 Years Anniversary Celebrations

      To celebrate the 100 years of the opening of Crich Comrades Club, the first date for your diary is Saturday 11 September 2021.

      We have a full day of entertainment lined up, with a free buffet, and the bar will be open until 1am. If you fancy dressing up, period dress is optional.

      1-00pm - 5-00pm - Old Time Music Hall, come and join us on a trip down memory lane to the golden age of the music hall.
      7-00pm - 9-00pm - War Time Singer, Eleanor Rose Bowley
      9-15pm till late - Disco​

      As always, non-members welcome, please ask at the bar for membership details.

    • 6:45 PM Andy Purves at The Comrades Club

      Lives music from Andy Purves and the re-opening of the Joker Board. Music from 6.45 to 9.00 pm. Joker Board draw at 7.00 pm.

      Fritchley Community Association will be holding their AGM and a Quiz Night on Friday 17 September. The AGM starts at 7.30 pm, followed by the quiz at 8.00 pm.

      A free bottle of wine or juice awaits your team at your table. Bring your own tipple too, plus nibbles of your choice and don’t forget your glass!

      • Quiz teams should be four people (or come along and make up a team on the night)
      • There will be questions for all ages and younger people are welcome.
      • £40 cash prize for the winning team.
      • There will be a raffle to win a hamper for just £1 per ticket

      Tables are limited, so please apply for your ticket by completing the below Quiz Form and popping it in the post box at the Congregational Church.

    • 10:00 AM An Exhibition of the Royal Family Tree

      An exhibition of the Royal Family Tree designed and complied by Grange Genealogy will be held at All Saints Church Hall, Holm Lane, South Wingfield, DE55 7NY on

      Saturday 18th September from 10am – 4pm

      Sunday 19th September from 12 noon – 4pm.

      The exhibition will include the family tree, showing all the family connected to Queen Elizabeth II and Price Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, going back to Queen Victoria. The chart shows all descendants and stretches to just over 8 meters in length. 

      There is an accompanying guide book which includes indexes to everyone listed and gives some further details of each person and their immediate family. There will be copies for sale on the day and an opportunity to find out more about exploring your own family tree.

      Admission £3 on the door.

      All admission fees will be donated to All Saints Church.

      Autumn Footprints Amber Valley & Erewash Walking Festival

      The Autumn Footprints Festival offers a great choice of 29 guided walks from 11th - 26th September 2021. Sixteen days of enjoyable walks and informative talks with something for everybody of all abilities.

      A walk around Crich Stand and up to the Shuckstone is planned for Tuesday 21 September. Starting point Crich Market Place at 10.00 am. Finish 12.30 pm. Book your place

      All walks are FREE OF CHARGE. However, there may be a parking charge (see symbols on individual walks). You must book to join the walks this year, details on how to book will be listed in each walk description.
