Welcome to Crich Patients’ Participation Group (CPPG)
The CPPG is a group of volunteer members that represents patients’ interests with Crich Medical Practice, promotes participation from the community in health and well-being activities and helps pass on relevant information between the Practice and the community. It covers all the areas that patients registered at Crich, Holloway and South Wingfield surgeries come from, not just Crich village, and we are keen to promote activities and recruit members in these areas.
Whilst the PPG doesn’t pursue individual complaints or cases with the Practice, it is here to monitor and raise general matters of concern and comments about the Practice or local health services on behalf of patients, or of course to pass on compliments. We will not identify patients who contact us to the Practice unless they wish us to do so.
The PPG and its volunteers both organise activities (e.g. the kids holiday activities, Active Crich for Everyone and Dementia Friends sessions), and work with other local groups (e.g. Mutual Aid, Crich Digital Friends, Grow Outside, Community Pantry), to facilitate a joined up programme of events, information and initiatives to improve the health and well-being of the whole community. This is supported by funding from kind donors, both business and individuals, grant funding and money from the Practice.
To find out more about the PPG’s activities and those of other local organisations, please follow the links by clicking here to their Facebook or web pages: Active Crich for Everyone, Dementia Friends, Crich Area Digital Friends, Crich Careline, Crich PPG, Community Pantries. There is also a helpful list of local organisations and contacts at Crich Standard Directory.
If you want to contact the PPG to comment, raise any issues, share an idea for a new activity or to find out about becoming a member, get in touch on firstname.lastname@example.org, or you can follow or message us on our Facebook page.
Thanks for reading this, and please help keep everyone safe and healthy,
Chair, Crich PPG
