Aufweidersehen Me Duck

Aufweidersehen Me Duck

Sat Dec 4 19:30:00 2021

Saturday 4th December 7:30pm at the Glebe Field Centre

Paul Walker and Karen Pfeiffer are an Anglo-German husband and wife folk songwriter duo.

Their varied repertoire combines beautifully written original songs and a fine choice of folk favourites delivered with marvellous, melodic vocal harmonies, skilful guitar accompaniment, the subtle use of flute and recorder, a charming onstage chemistry and commendable audience rapport.

Their different cultural heritage is a substantial and entertaining part of their show, with amiable, self-deprecating banter playfully drawing on and celebrating both the German and Brit stereotypes.

‘Great show!’ Graham Norton

Ladder World - new musical for children and adults

Ladder World - new musical for children and adults

Sat Dec 11 19:00:00 2021

Ladderworld is a new musical for children and adults by JKB Productions, with 18 original songs and a live band.

It tells the story of the adventures of Jack after a Golden Ladder appears in the sky. The rungs slide down to touch the grass and he feels compelled to climb it. At the top he finds himself in Ladderworld where he meets Santa Claus, Mrs Santa and Jill, who has also climbed the Golden Ladder. They find out that only children from Realworld can use the Magic which is needed to rescue Rudolf the Reindeer and Bushey the Chief Elf who invented the Magic Toy Machine. They have been kidnapped by the evil Goblins, led by Hobnoblin!

So, will they be able to use Magic? Will they rescue Rudolf and Bushey? Will they get the Magic Toy Machine back in time for Christmas Eve? Will children on Realworld get their toys at Christmas?

Come along and enjoy Jack and Jill’s adventure; be prepared to laugh and sing and leave feeling uplifted by the story and its music!
