In response to Tony Mills’ impassioned plea in the last edition of Crich Standard addressing a local response to climate change, a small group of people have started meeting in the Black Swan to discuss a few ideas.
We have talked about caring for Crich and the surrounding area to improve our environment. We have shared stories and experiences of permaculture, recycling, reducing plastic use, litter picking, planting trees and re-wilding and realised that there are many varied issues that we would like to discuss further and act upon.
We are planning to meet on the third Thursday of each month in the Black Swan and would welcome others to join our discussions and organise practical activities which will benefit the local environment and our community.
We are planning a launch activity on Earth Day, which is Wednesday 22 April and will have a stall at the fete, so please come and talk to us and share your ideas. Keep an eye on the Crich Standard website and social media for more information or email firstname.lastname@example.org
If we work together, we can make change happen.
