2013’s Crich Area Community Award was presented to Esme Woolley by CACN chairman David Billyeald at the Kings Arms during a karaoke evening. (Thankfully David did not take part in the singing.) The award was in recognition of Esme's generous support for the voluntary groups of Crich Parish over many years.
Esme, along with her family and friends at the Kings Arms, is a most generous supporter of village organisations, hosting fund-raising activities for Crich Area Community News, Crich Fete Committee, Crich Preschool, Crich Brass and many other clubs and societies. For many years she was a supporter of Crich Football Club until it recently closed. She hosts pool, darts, domino and indoor skittles teams, also providing first-class refreshments.
On Thursday evenings Crich Brass can be heard practicing in the Kings.
A popular and well-deserved award.
